Buggspray is the only repellent approved by the US EPA* to repel mosquitoes that may transmit West Nile Virus, Encephalitis, or Dengue Fever. Containing a mixture of three EPA-approved repellents, our Buggspray Insect Repellent for Biting Flies is the most effective product available, even better than 100% DEET. If you just want something that really, really works and don't particularly care what it smells like, this is the product you've been searching for. It contains no fragrance and uses isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. After the alcohol dries in a few seconds, the odor isn't bad and smells a little better than plain DEET. But, unlike other products, you won't smell like pine needles or someone's poor attempt to cover DEET's light odor with a stinky fragrance.

DEET is a great mosquito repellent but fails when the biting flies get thick. This formula uses two fly repellents plus DEET to make it effective against a wide variety of insects. Due to human variability, user may experience an occasional bite within the protection time. This product is ideal for fishermen (with those ankle biters in the bottom of the boat), hunters, golfers, gardeners, & hikers.

For about 85% of the population, our Original Buggspray formula will work just fine - better than anything else out there. However, if you are particularly susceptible to insect bites, going to a foreign country on a trip abroad, and/or are in an area where mosquitoes are likely to carry disease, this is the product you need. It is absolutely the most effective protection available against a wide variety of insects, anywhere in the world.

We also highly recommend this product to our soldiers who must deal with sand flies in IRAQ and the Middle East! These buggers may carry sand fly fever and leishmaniasis disease. The military issued product only contains DEET and does not work on those flies.
