March 1, 2004 - PRESS RELEASE
Bugg Products LLC, a Minnesota-based company, announced today it has received EPA registration for Buggspray Insect Repellent for Biting Flies.
This new product utilizes two effective fly repellents, originally developed for cattle and horses, that are now registered for human use. Combining these EPA registered ingredients with the mosquito repellency of DEET results in a product that is effective in repelling a wide variety of insects. The stamped EPA label includes: "Repels mosquitoes that may transmit West Nile Virus, Encephalitis, or Dengue Fever. This Composite Formula effectively REPELS: stable flies, no-see-ums, deer flies, horse flies, & black flies (biting gnats)."
"DEET alone is a great mosquito repellent but it fails against biting flies, especially 'up-north'. This new formula really works to keep those ankle-biters from biting", said company President Brian Weekley.
Buggspray Insect Repellent for Biting Flies complements the company's line of pleasant smelling Buggspray (brand) Insect Repellents - unique in the industry based on label claims for West Nile Virus, Encephalitis, Malaria, and Dengue Fever.
